An Introduction...

An Introduction...

Hey! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome to Links Permanent Jewellery Supplies.
ย
I thought I would start off the first blog post with a little introduction & explaining how I went from full time Salon Owner & Nail Tech to Permanent Jewellery Artist, then selling supplies!
I've actually been in the Beauty industry for around 15 years & opened my Salon in 2019. A year later, I gained my teaching qualification & opened my training academy from with the salon.
So how the hell did I get from that point to now? ๐Ÿ˜…....

ย

Well... as I'm sure a lot of other people in this industry can relate to, I was just starting to feel like my work was getting a little bit repetitive. I was putting in so much hard work & yes I was seeing the benefits, but it still felt like a difficult slog.

I'd often wondered about what other treatment I could offer, but the problem was that I was already pretty busy & didn't have a huge amount of time to dedicate to something else.

ย

Whilst scrolling TikTok one day, I came across a Permanent Jewellery video and thought, this is genius! The more I was watching the videos, the more I loved the idea of having it in the Salon.

It was so popular in the states but it seemed as if it had only just started in the UK & I thought the potential for introducing it into Salons was huge & just made sense, particularly alongside Nails.

Before I knew it, I had done my research & signed up for training. About a month later, I launched Links & it's been a huge success in our Salon ever since.ย

ย

We have done pop up events but mainly offer Permanent Jewellery from within the Salon. What's brilliant is that I can add 3 hours to the end of my diary on a Saturday & I can still potentially see 12 people in those 3 hours & earn much more than I could ever imagine compared to a 3 hour set of nails or lashes.

So where does Links Supplies come in?

Well, I very quickly realised from the start of my Permanent Jewellery journey that there were very little suppliers that were PJ suitable in the UK. The US seemed to have much more of a variety of chains & charms... the most unique charm I could get at the time of training was maybe a plain star or moon shape!

So I researched and researched, I learnt the process of manufacturing Gold Filled charms and chains as this was something that the UK in particular lacked, I was speaking to suppliers and manufacturers.

After much testing, Links Permanent Jewellery Supplies opened in July and in such a short space of time we have already sold over 700 items!
ย

But we aren't just any old suppliers, as an educator I am a huge believer in sharing my knowledge & everything that I have learnt along the way. Over here and on my social media, I will be posting lots of educational content.ย

ย

And if you've read this far and are thinking... I want this to be me!! Take a look at my ABT Accredited Permanent Jewellery training, which not only teaches you the techniques needed but also the marketing side & how I personally started my own business ๐Ÿ˜Š.
